Students paint their thoughts with inspiration from the holy month of Ramadan
It’s not every day that you take some time off your busy schedule to actually paint something. Give it a thought. But this is one of the many values that Dubai Scholars is instilling into each of its students-in this instance with the help of an outstanding idea presented by the Islamic department. What a simple, yet humble thought: having students design their own Ramadan posters, in the purest ever environment-our very own school

“The very sight of students fusing religious sentiments with their own schemas was an accomplishment on its own, and it was quite exciting to watch the same take place,’’ said an overjoyed Mrs. Farhana (Head of the Islamic department), all smiles as she proudly surveyed the precious handiwork of her students.
There was seldom a moment when she wasn’t beaming, and we have to agree with her-the response from the students was simply phenomenal!
“Although the response was great this time too, we hope to see many more students take part in events like these, over the years to come,’’ she remarked, a hopeful gleam in her eyes.
Mosques in various forms and the traditional Ramadan moon adorning a beautiful night sky were among the common sights we could see around the school. Students also highly accenuated the meaning of Ramadan through figures of food being shared and old clothes being donated in their breath-taking posters.
“It was extremely hard to choose the winners,’’ said Mrs. Farhana, “but there has to be a choice, so it can stand as an inspiration for others.”
Saying so, she politely ushered us towards the beautifully adorned boards around the school, to see for ourselves.
And we couldn’t help but smile with joy at the enthusiasm which was apparent in each and every one of the posters.
